I got these 2 Saragossa grinders to service for Nathan Broedelet from PE. A 20-000 and a 10-000 for his mate.
The 20-000 is proberbly to most popular big fish grinder around from the shimano stable. The 25-0000 is actually the same reel with only a larger spool.
These reels are immensely popular because of the shimano pedigree. You get huge gears on the 20 with large course teeth from immense strength on the main, pinion and planetary gear. This coupled with double drag huge ones at the bottom of the spool with smaller ones inside and a spool thats bearing supported makes this a very well thought out product. The reel comes with a huge anti reverse bearing and has double dogs to further support the anti reverse function. The main shaft is thick and solid for robustness, the bearing that support the main gear are large, the ones on the pinion as well while the planetary gear has a bronze bush for reliability. The handle is large including the knob and ergonomically designed also. The reel is sealed to deter water ingress from the occasional splash while fishing.
All in all the Saragosa models are very well made and have a huge following for good reason. Looked after and correctly serviced and on time they will provide years of enjoyment.
Remember with grinders servicing them on time and regularly especially with swimming is essential once again. Keeping water out is great but when it does get in it creates problems in terms of corrosion and left unchecked will destroy all metals.
